SCHOLARSHIPS
We believe every child should have the opportunity to play baseball. Financial hardship should never be a barrier. Full and partial scholarships are available each season based on need and available funding.
How It Works
- Scholarships may cover part or all of the registration fee
- Applications are reviewed confidentially by our scholarship committee
- Scholarships apply to one season only and are not automatically renewed
Eligibility
- Scholarships are intended for families with financial need
- Players participating in travel/club teams or private lessons are not eligible
- A limited number of scholarships are available each season
Volunteer Expectation
Our league is run by volunteers. Families receiving scholarships are expected to give back when possible, including:
- Coaching or team parent support
- Snack shack shifts
- Opening Day or events
- Field work days
(Approx. 10 hours per season)
Important: Failure to meet volunteer expectations may impact future scholarship eligibility.

Aaron Gatton Memorial Scholarship
Aaron Gatton was the younger brother of two players who had been playing for years in Rohnert Park Cal Ripken by the time he passed away. He was really looking forward to his turn to be a baseball player, and it is in that spirit that this scholarship was started. The recipients of this scholarship represent the baseball little brother or sister that we all know. They're at every event and now it's their turn to play ball. A family on each PeeWee team is chosen each year to receive a scholarship of $100 for their younger child to start playing baseball.
The Aaron Gatton Memorial Scholarship was established in 2021.
Babe Ruth League Scholarships
Babe Ruth League also offers national scholarship opportunities for former players pursuing higher education. Please click here for more information.
