Frequently Asked Questions
How do I register my child for a program?
Registration is completed online through our website. Simply select the desired program, complete the required information, and submit payment to secure your spot.
Does my child need experience?
No, we welcome players of all levels of experience and they will learn the game from experienced coaches and staff.
How often do you practice?
Practice is twice a week for most divisions - once during the week, and once on the weekend (typically Saturday). Practices end for the Peewee division once games start. All other divisions continue with one practice a week once games start.
What days and times are the games?
Games are spread out so you play one game during the week and one on the weekend, unless your team has a bye. Game times vary across divisions, but don't start before 5:00 PM.
What is included in the registration fee?
Registration includes a team jersey and hat, as well as field use, equipment, umpires, insurance, and league operations that make the season possible.
What is your refund or cancellation policy?
Refunds will be issued until January 31st. After that, no refunds will be issued.
What equipment is required?
Players will need a baseball glove and molded cleats (no metal cleats are allowed). Coaches will have team bats and team helmets for players to use but players may wish to have their own bat and helmet.
Are volunteers or coaches needed?
Our programs rely on volunteer coaches and helpers. If you’re interested in volunteering, you can indicate your interest during registration or contact us directly.
How will I receive updates and announcements?
All updates are sent via email and posted on the website. Please ensure your contact information is accurate so you don’t miss important communications.
How are coaches trained or screened?
All coaches are required to complete Babe Ruth League’s training programs, pass a background check, and complete fingerprinting before being allowed on the field.
